Join our community in celebrating National Breastfeeding Week

Join in recognizing National Breastfeeding Week, October 1 to 7, 2026. This year’s theme, “Strengthen What Works: Breastfeeding for a Sustainable Start in Life,” encourages communities to build on successful breastfeeding initiatives and strengthen support for families.

Residents are invited to a proclamation and flag-raising event on October 7 at 8:30 a.m. , at 1024 Hurlwood Lane. Join us to support breastfeeding families and celebrate the community partnerships that help give infants a healthy start in life.

Families, friends, communities, employers, and health-care providers all have a role in helping families reach their infant-feeding goals.
