Municipal Elections are run following the requirements of the Municipal Elections Act .
In 2026, voters in the Township of Severn can cast their vote in the municipal election from the comfort of their own home or from anywhere at which they can access the internet. In addition to internet voting, the Township will offer in-person Voting Centres for those who wish to cast their vote in-person either by paper ballot or electronically.

Online voting
Online voting will be available from Thursday, October 15, 2026, through Election Day on Monday, October 26, 2026. During this voting period, eligible electors can cast their ballot online using the instructions provided in their Voter Information Letter. These letters will be mailed in late September.
