Join us bi-monthly for our relaxed discussions of historical fiction titles that bring the past to life. We meet in the Library, and over Zoom. New members are always welcome. In 1486, Orsola Rosso is the eldest daughter in a family of glassblowers in Murano, Italy. As a woman, she is not meant to blow glass-but when her father dies, she teaches herself to make beads in secret, and her work becomes the cornerstone of the Rosso family fortune. The story follows Orsola and her family through the centuries as they live through a plague and the transformation of the city of trade into a city of tourists.
