100 Miles for Community: Supporting a New UTV for Oro-Medonte Fire & Emergency Services

A 100-mile fundraising run in support of purchasing a new Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) for Oro-Medonte Fire & Emergency Services.

One Runner. 100 Miles. One Purpose.

Each year, Tyler Marchand (an Oro-Medonte Fire & Emergency Services volunteer firefighter ) takes on a personal challenge that pushes him mentally and physically, and this year, he is turning that tradition into a community fundraiser. On October 17–18 , Tyler will run 100 miles across Oro-Medonte , travelling between fire stations over approximately 36 hours to raise funds for Oro-Medonte Fire & Emergency Services to purchase a new Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV), which will enhance the department’s ability to respond to emergencies in remote and difficult-to-access areas. To symbolize the dedication and responsibility of firefighters, Tyler will complete the final mile in full bunker gear, bringing his extraordinary challenge to a meaningful close.

The Goal

With department approval and charitable tax receipting in place, the campaign is working toward a fundraising goal of $60,000+ to support the purchase of a new Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) for Oro-Medonte Fire & Emergency Services.

Every dollar raised will help strengthen emergency response capabilities and enhance the department's ability to serve residents safely and effectively.
