Huronia Symphony Orchestra Presents 'Sixty Years In Motion'
Collier Street United Church, Collier Street United Church, 112 Collier Street, Barrie
Cost not listed
Description: We open the season celebrating 60 years of the Huronia Symphony, an extraordinary community orchestra shaped by the musicians who bring it to life. Hear our own concertmaster perform the much beloved Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1, a work of lyric warmth and expressive beauty. It speaks with an intimate voice that feels both personal and deeply rooted in the orchestra's sound. In Sibelius' Symphony No. 2, that voice expands outward into something large, music that gathers momentum, builds in strength, and moves toward a powerful sense of shared arrival. Together, these works reflect how a musical community is shaped over time, through individual voices, collective energy, and the way musicians listen, respond, and support each other. Show Time: 3:30pm - 5:30pm
