Barrie Fire and Emergency Service will be promoting Fire Prevention Week™ with a Barrie Fire Takeover + Kids Workshop. It's the typical Saturday morning kids workshop at Home Depot but with a fire safety spin. There will be a fire truck on hand and a table with information tied into the theme this year's Fire Prevention Week theme: “Charge Into Fire Safety™. Safe Charging Is a Superpower” focusing on the everyday charging habits that can help reduce the risk of lithium-ion battery fires and keep homes and communities safer.
