Home Children Canada Presentation Midhurst Branch

Did you know that over 100,000 children came to Canada from Britain between 1869 and 1948? They came to work on Canadian farms which they were never prepared for, and many were treated poorly. There were Home Children here in Springwater Township! Over 4 million Canadians today are descended from Home Children, yet their story is not often told. Lori Oschefski from the Home Children Canada organization will share their stories and legacy.
