September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This is a day to remember the children who never came home, honour Survivors, and commit to learning the truth.
Join Odenaang Circle, the Town of BWG and the BWG Public Library for a Smudge and Flag Raising at Sunshine Square (Leisure Centre), 471 West Park Ave. Wear orange on September 30.

Land Acknowledgement by Mayor Leduc
Proclamation reading by the Odenaang Circle
*Participants are invited to take a walk along Public Square to read the storyboards and learn about the truths of the residential school system and its impact on Indigenous communities across Canada. Storyboards will be on display between September 25 and October 2.
