Clearview Sustainability Network presents PREPARING FOR THE PYROCENE: A Wildfire-fighter’s Advice

Wildland and wildland-urban interface fires are being amplified by our warming climate. They now are larger, more intense, more frequent and more destructive. These extreme fires and their associated emissions are increasing physical, mental, emotional and financial misery for many. Certified and decorated wildland firefighter Andrew Pearson MB will share: • his boots-on-the-ground experience, • his knowledge of wildfires’ changing behaviour, • why our region is not immune to its dangers and impact, • and how we can better prepare ourselves The Clearview Sustainability Network is an inclusive and optimistic citizen-led group bringing together members of our community to help our local government and community adapt and evolve in the face of a changing climate.
